Axis Bank Neo Credit Card Review: Fees

Even though Axis Bank Neo credit card is offered LTF, we continue to get a good welcome benefit on the card. The 100% cashback up to ₹ 300 on utility bill payments is a good benefit for entry-level credit cards like Neo.

Axis Bank Neo Credit Card Rewards

Neo’s rewards and benefits are more for select merchants like Zomato, Amazon Pay, Blinkit and Myntra. The earn rate for EDGE rewards is a bit low. This makes this card worth it only if you can maximize the merchant offers and also use it for instant discount offers during e-commerce sales.

  • Zomato, Amazon Pay and Blinkit are the only ones where we see some benefit.
  • We can get a better discount on the others even without the Neo card.

Hands-On Experience: Zomato Offer has a catch

The Zomato coupon for Axis Bank Neo credit card cannot be used for all restaurants. It is only valid for select restaurants. Plus, you cannot use it along with any other coupon that the Zomato app offers. Getting a 40% off coupon when ordering from a restaurant is quite common. So, the Axis Neo offer for Zomato may not be that useful.

It would have been better, if this was a 5% or 10% cashback on Zomato spends. But, this would be too much to expect from a LTF card. 🙂

Dining Delights

Axis Neo is also eligible for the Axis Bank Dining Delights program. In this, we get a minimum of 15% off on partner restaurants when dining in. Refer to the official Axis Bank Dining Delights website for a list of restaurants and applicable offers.

Final Thoughts

Axis Neo is not targeted for someone who spends at a variety of places and expects consistent rewards. It is for someone who wants to get their first Axis Bank credit card or for someone starting off with credit cards.

So, should one get the Axis Bank Neo credit card? If, you are looking for a LTF credit card or need this for Axis credit card merchant offers, then yes. The one good benefit on the Axis Neo continues to be the 5% offer on Amazon Pay utility bills.

  1. ‘AXISNEO’ for 40% off on Zomato doesn’t work on most restaurants. It’s either free delivery or shows a message that “This offer is valid for only select users”. Axis is playing foul here.
