There are quite a few IndianOil credit cards now, and they are not all meant for the same kind of user.
A card that works well for ₹4000-₹5000 of monthly fuel spend may not be the best choice if you regularly spend ₹10,000 or more. The reward cap, annual fee and surcharge waiver matter just as much as the headline reward rate.
So, instead of looking only at the advertised percentage, we have compared the major IndianOil credit cards on actual fuel returns, spend limits and overall value.

Getting the Most Out of Your IndianOil Credit Card
Check the transaction limits before you pay. A fuel purchase can earn reward points without qualifying for the surcharge waiver, since the two benefits may have different rules.
Keep an eye on your monthly cap too. If you’ve already earned the maximum fuel rewards, putting more fuel spends on the same card may not give you much back. Check when the cap resets. Some cards follow the statement cycle rather than the calendar month.
When redeeming points, compare the options. Kotak’s voucher and cashback values differ, while RBL’s fuel redemption goes through IndianOil XTRAREWARDS. Pick a redemption option you’ll actually use.
And don’t spend extra just to avoid the annual fee. A fee waiver is useful when your usual purchases meet the requirement.
IndianOil Cards Not Included in Our Main Picks
IndianOil HDFC Bank Credit Card: The lower fuel reward cap keeps this card out of our main picks. It earns up to 250 Fuel Points per month for the first six months, falling to 150 points thereafter. At ₹0.96 per point for fuel redemption, that means a maximum fuel reward value of ₹144 per month after the initial period, excluding the surcharge waiver.
IndianOil Axis Bank Premium Credit Card: This is the replacement card for migrated IndianOil Citi customers. We have kept it outside the shortlist because we could not confirm a fresh application route for new customers. Existing holders should compare their current benefits before switching to another card.
