Do you want to request for a credit limit increase for your credit card?

If you have the required proof ready like payslips/, below are the email ids/contact numbers you need to connect with to request a limit enhancement on your credit cards.

Subject: Request for Credit Card Credit Limit Increase

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to request an increase in the credit limit on my credit card account with your bank. The reason for my request is that I have recently obtained a credit card from another bank that has a higher spending limit than my current card with your bank. While I would prefer to use your card for my day-to-day purchases and transactions, the lower credit limit is restricting me from doing so.

My current credit limit is ___, and I would like to request an increase to __.

I have been a loyal customer of your bank for several years now and have always made timely payments on my credit card bills. I believe that with my good credit history and responsible financial behaviour, I am eligible for a credit limit increase.

I think the mail id for Citi is to only to send the documents post discussions with the customer care. It rejects all other emails.

No, you can email them from the registered email id. Not sure if anything has changed recently.
 
For the HDFC credit limit, they ask for a paper-based form that should be sent to Chennai or dropped at the nearest branch. You can download the limit enhancement form here.

We can also scan and send this via email with other documents.
 
How long will I have to wait to ask credit limit for amex ? I have very low 55k MRCC limit got a month ago

For HDFC Bank, I sent my Form 16 as my payslips do not reflect the entire salary due to other perquisites. They increased it by 20% as I had not got any auto LE in last 2 years.

For Amex, it is simpler. You can just call them and ask for LE. Sometimes they do it without any income docs by seeing credit profile/spends.
