Guide Credit Cards For Free Lounge Access - Without Spends (Aug 2024 Updated)

There was a time when credit cards would have not have high fees and no spend requirements to provide lounge access but since last 3 to 4 years most have been de-valuing the cards because of the high number of customer using the facility. They are not getting the ROI that they used to earlier. Going by this trend it would seem inevitable that the above list will keep getting shorter pretty soon.

Thank you for the effort you have put in to create this list.

After the pandemic, I remember people creating reels on how to get free food at the airport, which brought awareness about credit cards and their benefits. This also became one of the USPs for selling Credit Card by banks. People became freeloaders, lounges were running over capacity, huge lines outside the lounge and the Bank had to bear the cost of the visits. The lounge's exclusivity and usage, which was part of the air travel until the pandemic was lost and replaced by low-quality services to cater to the normal public.
The Bank pays around Rs360-520 to the lounge for the visits, so people using LTF cards and not spending anything on the cards are "bad" customers.
I feel this is a good decision by the banks but non-awareness creates a lot of confusion among people, standing in front of the lounge reception.
You are correct my friend, there will be more devaluation in future.

Note: Basic Credit Card - LTF, Mid-Range - Fees upt Rs 2500
I know this is not directly part of your subject list, but I was looking at getting AU Zenith LTF via C2C using my M4B.

Would that be best or other AU cards for Lounges? Will do C4C LTF.

Thanks for this detailed list @mayanksneh

You may want to add few cards from Yes Bank here. I have Yes Bank Reserv and provides lounge access (with 10K spends in previous quarter)

Thanks for the info but the list is about lounge access without spends.

Is there a similar thread for Lounge access by Debit cards? I know Debit cards on Rupay have them? what about those on other networks?

There are so many debit cards catered to different kinds of savings accounts. It won't be easy to create a list for debit cards.

As per Gemini:

The total number of banks in India, including small banks, is estimated to be around 12,000. This figure encompasses various financial institutions, from large nationalized banks to regional rural and cooperative banks.
Please note that this number is an approximation and may vary slightly due to factors such as mergers, acquisitions, or the establishment of new banks. I recommend consulting the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) or a reliable financial news source for the most accurate and up-to-date information.

Its not possible to list the Debit Cards with their type, variants, eligibility criteria, spend-based criteria, etc for lounge access.

How about icici mmt card? They recently launched the card in Oct without spend limit.
As per my knowledge, ICICI has enforced 75k transactions on all their cards, even the premium ones. Could you please verify this one specifically?
@AskTriMan is this true?

This made me look at the announcement again. I see only the older MakeMyTrip ICICI Bank Signature and Platinum credit cards in that. The new MakeMyTrip ICICI Bank credit card is not in that list. So, the new MMT cards still have airport lounge access without spend restrictions.
