AU Bank has always had an easy online application approach for its credit cards. While other cards like Zenith+ can be applied on an income basis, AU Bank also has another portal called Swipe Up. AU Bank Swipe Up portal is dedicated to applying credit cards on a C2C basis. The best part is we can get LTF credit cards on AU Swipe Up. Here is everything you need to know about the platform and the new Xcite credit cards.
What is AU Bank Swipe Up?
We can apply for credit cards based on either salary or on the basis of our existing credit cards. The later process is called C2C or card to card. While many issuers have an offline process for C2C applications, AU Bank has taken this process online.
AU Bank Swipe Up is a new portal that offers an online C2C process. Through this we can “upgrade” to a new range of LTF Xcite credit cards from AU Bank. We have three Xcite credit card variants. So, it is as simple as logging in and providing the existing credit card bin number to show which new AU credit card you can get. You cannot use the Swipe Up portal if you already hold some other AU Bank credit card.
AU Bank Xcite Credit Card Variants
There are three Xcite credit cards. Xcite Ultra is the top variant among these.
Credit Card | Platform | Type |
---|---|---|
AU Bank Xcite Credit Card | Visa Platinum | Rewards |
AU Bank Xcite Ace Credit Card | Visa Signature | Cashback |
AU Bank Xcite Ultra Credit Card | Visa Signature | Rewards |
We cannot choose the Xcite credit card that we want to apply for. This is determined by the AU Bank Swipe Up portal based on the card that you use for C2C applications. For example, if you hold Axis credit card then you will be offered the AU Xcite Ace credit card as an upgrade.

Rewards Redemption
The reward points can be redeemed on the AU Rewardz portal. Each RP is worth 25 paise for all redemptions except vouchers. For vouchers, the value of each RP is 20 paise. There is a reward redemption charge of ₹ 99+GST.
- Vouchers: Many options including Amazon Pay gift vouchers
- Merchandise: Not recommended as we get a better value in other options
- Mobile/DTH Recharge
- Flight/Hotel/Bus booking
- Movies
- Airmiles: Only Vistara at 4 RP = 1 Airmiles ratio
Are the Xcite credit cards worth applying for?
Yes, they are decent entry-level credit cards especially for a LTF price. The Xcite Ace will give you up to 3% cashback on offline spends as well. So, it is comparable to Axis Ace without the 5% cashback on bill payments.
AU Bank also runs attractive offers for festivals on e-commerce merchants. So, you can avail those using these cards.
Frequently Asked Questions
AU Bank is marketing only the Xcite range for the SwipeUp platform but some are also getting the option to apply for Zenith and Altura credit cards. Even, those are being offered LTF in some cases.
No, you will see the eligible credit cards based on AU Bank’s decision.

While the cards are good (I especially like the design) they are available widely only in the Western states and MH and MP. In all other states they are available only within a limited area in the biggest city. I am told only within 15 km of an office/branch location. For example in TN its only available in some areas of Chennai, Karnataka Bangalore, Kerala Kochi, Odisha Bhubaneshwar, etc.
Makes them unattainable for a majority of the country. No platform is going to solve this.
Can we have 2 au cards?
Not for now
Hi,
I had one doubt here –
1. For the 1% cashback in xcite ace, will I be getting cashback only after crossing Rs 7500? For example, if I spend Rs 6000, then will I get Rs 60 cashback?
What are the redemption options for the reward points?
