HSBC has been on a roll lately with some pretty good offers in 2020, bonus cashback ranging from 2% to 5% plus gift vouchers like Amazon. Looks like the momentum is going to continue in 2021. HSBC is back with a decent spend-based offer for the first quarter of 2021.

- First Offer – 500 gift voucher for spending 25000 or more in a month which can be redeemed for Amazon, Zomato, BigBasket, Myntra, Urban Company or Uber.
- Second Offer – Additional 1000 cashback on every 75000 spent in a month.
- Third Offer – Top 5 spenders across Jan-Mar get Tanishq gift voucher worth 1 Lakh.

Offers 1 and 2 are valid every month from January 2021 to March 2021.
Our Take
It is a decent offer with 2% bonus cashback along with the regular rewards on the HSBC credit card. The top spender offer for Tanishq gift vouchers is not assured as the targets would depend on spending done by other HSBC cardholders. 🙂
If this offer is on the HSBC Cashback card, then the overall return rate is a good 3.5%! However, with other card variants, the return rate is not that high.
With cards like Axis Ace providing a regular cashback of 2% on all spending and 5% on bill payments – this kind of offer won’t entice people to spend more if they are holding better cards.
