Many banks launch credit card festive spending offers. But, we rarely see such offers for their debit cards. IDFC First Bank has done just that. It has rolled out its festive spend offer ‘Kuhushiyan First’ to its debit cards. Here are the offer details.

My View
IDFC First Bank regularly brings this kind of spending offer on its debit cards. The cashback percentage though has now been reduced to a nominal 1%. This seems less when we see credit card returns, but there are other uses for this.
You can use your IDFC First Bank debit card to pay off credit card bills on Paytm and get 1% cashback. This is working till now. So, you can pay off Rs 2.5 Lakhs of credit card bills and get Rs 2500 cashback. 🙂 Cashback will get credited in 48 hours, so you can also try to make different kinds of payments to see the working ones.
Wallet uploads and fund transfers are excluded. So, do not load money to Paytm and Mobikwik wallets as those will get tagged as wallet transactions.
