lucifer i think you forgot the list of credit cards? most of the ccs can be applied without having SB with some exceptions
CCFan I think both Union Bank of India and Indian Bank allow getting a credit card without a bank account. The only thing is we need to apply at the branch.
VarunHaria I had written the bank names on title. I went to Canara Bank, they denied saying that savings account is a must even for a current account holder. Bank of India also told me that account is a must but their policies say something else. Union Bank of India is also reluctant and are saying that it will take a few months to get this done.
YashMehta Why do you even want any of these bank’s CC. Not very good with CL etc. got canara bank cc with 50K limit. They never increased. For everything had to go to branch. Got tired and closed it. Canara will give cc easily though but I don’t see any advantage of getting one.
BK@44 Indian bank does not require savings account. you can apply directly on website. Canara do require savings account. Union savings account not required.
VarunHaria I tried applying India bank credit card through portal, there is no progress. One of the CC geek told me that Indian Bank processes online credit card application for those who have bank account. For those who don’t have account, need to visit branch.
BK@44 VarunHaria try this link, [Login to see the link] even I tried applying online and it did not do anything just gave a pdf file of all the details which I entered while submitting application and thats it. Now am taking a car loan in indian bank and told the manager to apply credit card also.
BK@44 okay just casually checked and it was processed instantly and card will be delivered. I previously had an application and thats it now I entered savings account details while logging in and it fetched all details and i entered employment details and got approval msg and then signed digitally thats it.
