TarunTodi I was able to close an add-on to my Infinia over phone with HDFC cc. It got closed in 5 mins and vanished from net banking too. Not necessary to go the offline route, I can confirm.
Nice to know, but I was specifically told to avoid this route as because the card nos were same, there is a chance that primary card may be closed out!!!…..hence, I was told no phone route, no online route but take the offline route.
TarunTodi Maybe temporary, but it’s possible to get a new add-on for the same family member with their details if they are existing hdfc customer. Eg., my father had an existing add-on (same 16 digit number) and I applied for a new add-on in March with the same customer id and relation details just with a different embossed name, and the new card arrived with different 16 digit no. and is linked to the add-on holder’s mobile. This was done entirely online too. Both cards were active and in-use simultaneously as well and worked seamlessly.
For this I was told, let the name of those persons be erased from the system, & then you can reapply!!
