Yes Bank’s glory days of generous 5X, 10X and 15X reward points on its credit cards are long gone. We have also seen a drastic devaluation of the value for reward points. But, once in a while we still get some decent offers from Yes Bank credit cards. Here is an offer from Yes Bank credit cards that can give a value back of 3.75% (for Yes First Exclusive) on insurance spends.

My View
Insurance spends on Yes Bank cards come under a different category for rewards. We get half of what we get on normal retail transactions. For Yes First Exclusive, we get 6 reward points per Rs 200 spend.
The 5X offer makes this 30 reward points per Rs 200. Each reward point is worth 25 paise for flight bookings. This makes the value back 3.75% on the Yes First Exclusive credit card. This is okay considering Infinia/DCB get 3.3% rewards for insurance transactions.
