ApinderSingh JohnSmith what is the initial funding for Imperia and how they converted to std account.
tssrao ApinderSingh spending is linked to LE and upgrade ?, I mean. If it is then how much is enough I think a lot of factors will be considered for LE or upgrades. CIBIL would be an obvious one. May be maintaining good amount in the bank account can also contribute a bit along with spending….
HarishRaj SaiTej Depends on use case. If you could meet the quarterly milestone then yes, it’s much better than plastic. However if you are not a high spender then DCB metal can not be justified.
CardMaven mindstop Yes, but you will need to negotiate with them for the upgrade. Drop an email to the one mentioned in the first post and ask them.
SurajeetSen I have been offered an Infinia PVC (Plastic Variant Card), had spent ~7.5 lakhs in the last 6 months. I currently hold a DCB with 15L limit. Since I didn’t have any issue with the plastic variant, I have provided my consent for the upgrade. I’m not sure if HDFC has increased the spend limit for approving the metal variant.
TarunTodi SurajeetSen wow that’s surprising I thought they were only issuing the metal variant for infinia. And unlike dcb, there’s no difference in features and benefits between metal or plastic infinia. Let us know finally when you receive the card whether it’s pvc or metal.
SurajeetSen TarunTodi Received the Infinia and yes it’s the plastic variant. It didn’t come with the fancy packaging as the metal one, just arrived with a normal packaging as any other HDFC credit card. It was delivered along with the add-ons and the priority passes. I see another person in this forum also received a plastic card recently - [Login to see the link]
TarunTodi SurajeetSen I also requested upgrade from dcb to infinia and they gave me infinia metal directly so I presumed that’s the only variant they have going. Nice to know they’re still giving out plastic variant as well.
SurajeetSen TarunTodi Yes, even I thought they’re no longer issuing the plastic variant. May I know how much did you spend in the last 6 months and did you directly sent your docs to Chennai or did you take the grievance route for the upgrade?
TarunTodi SurajeetSen Spends in last six months were around 6L but in my case I shared my last 3 months’ payslips with the RM in the hope that they can process (avg was higher than usual due to incentive pay received in January). Luckily they did!
SurajeetSen TarunTodi Okay. Not sure why criteria they use to decide the card variant. Until there’s no difference in the benefits between metal and plastic, I think it doesn’t matter much.
DeePics I had stopped using their card (Regalia LTF) for about 9 months and switched to Axis Magnus. However, they upgraded my credit limit to 13.92 L a few months ago. Will they now upgrade the card to DCB? Have a net salary of more than 1.75 L
SurajeetSen DeePics You can directly send the filled credit card upgrade form and your last 3 months salary slip to the Chennai address and they’ll surely upgrade your card to DCB.
ManikandanMuthiah DeePics Just send your mail to Credit card Redressal team with your last 2 month salary slip and ask for DCB. They probably gave DCB metal or PVC FYF. I just upgraded from Regalia Gold to DCB Metal by sending mail to CC Redressal.
DeePics [Login to see the link] [Login to see the link] [Login to see the link] Thanks for your suggestions. Earlier in the day had raised a grievance online, they just came back with a standard response - “We wish to assure you that the upgrade of the credit card is reviewed periodically based on usage and payment patterns on the card account.” They are not interested for any upgrade, this was the second instance of them rejecting the request.
