American Express generally excludes insurance payments for rewards for most of its cards. But, it does run Membership Reward point offers for insurance payments from time to time. Like last year, we have a new insurance payment offer from Amex this year leading into 2023. But, the offer has got devalued by quite a bit this year. So, not as lucrative as before but still a decent offer. Here are the complete details for the latest Amex insurance premium offer.

Should you use this offer?
This is a good offer for paying any of our insurance premiums like term or health insurance. But, the offer this time is for just 5 MR points per Rs 100. To compare, we had a 15 MR points per Rs 100 last year. A two-third decrease in the bonus MR points is surprising.
But, there is one good thing about this offer. We can double-dip with the New Year spend offer to achieve target spends and get an extra return,
Payments made directly on any of the insurance payment sites are eligible. This means that we should not use any of the payment providers like Paytm or Phonepe. This will ensure Amex can identify it as an insurance payment for the bonus MR points credit.
