It is always good to see debit card spend offers as they are quite rare. IDFC First Bank has rolled out a ‘Mega Monsoon Bonanza’ spend offer for July 2021. While, the 10% cashback offer it ran last month was valid for all, this is a targeted offer as per the T&C. The offer is personalized probably based on the account balance and spend history.

My View
With a reduced interest rate on its savings account, IDFC First Bank is taking steps to keep existing customers. 10% return value in the form of Amazon vouchers for using a debit card is a great offer. The required spends are achievable and the reward rate is more than credit cards.
One can spend the required amount on fuel or insurance transactions. These are not eligible for credit card rewards. So, a win-win to use the IDFC First debit card in these cases to get 10% return.
