Yes Bank has launched a new super-premium credit card after a super long wait. The new Yes Bank Marquee credit card shows signs that Yes Bank is ready to stage a comeback into consumer credit cards with top notch rewards and benefits. Yes Bank Marquee credit card comes with a first year fee of Rs 9999+GST and annual fee of Rs 4999+GST. We get 40,000 reward points as joining benefit with the annual fee waiver at Rs 10 Lakh spends. Yes Marquee is positioned above the Reserv in rewards and benefits.
Eligibility
- Age: 21 to 60 years
- Available for both salaried and self employed customers
- Minimum Net Salary of ₹ 3 Lakh per month or Income Tax Return of ₹ 24 Lakh and above
Fees
Joining Fee | Rs 9999+GST ~Rs 11,799 |
Welcome Benefit | 40,000 RP ~Rs 10,000 Value |
Annual Fee | Rs 4999+GST ~Rs 5899 |
Annual Fee Waiver | Rs 10 Lakh annual spend |
Renewal Benefit | 20,000 RP if fee is paid ~Rs 5000 Value |
The welcome benefit of 40K points can be used for booking flights at 25 paise value per point. So, the realized 10K value is much better than what you pay as the joining fee. We can also apply for the Yes Marquee credit card with C2C (card on card) applications. The required limit on existing credit card needs to be Rs 10 Lakh and above. Yes Bank has also started setting up airport counters to process credit card applications.
Spends threshold for annual and joining fee reversal exclude Rent and Wallet transactions.
Rewards
Type of Spend | Reward Points | Return |
---|---|---|
Online Spends (except select categories) | 36 RP/Rs 200 | 4.5% |
Offline Spends (except select categories) | 18 RP/Rs 200 | 2.25% |
Select Categories Utilities, Insurance, Education, Govt. Services, Tax Payments, Rent, Wallet | 10 RP/Rs 200 | 1.25% |
Fuel and EMI spends | No Rewards |
Yes Marquee is pretty good in the rewards department. 4.5% for online spends and 2.25% for offline spends is good enough to make this your primary card for spends unless you have options like the Infinia or DCB. At the moment, there is no upper cap on reward points for any of the categories.
Rewards Redemption
We have many options for reward redemption. The best value is against flight redemption and gift vouchers. Yes Marquee gives you a higher value of reward points for some gift voucher redemptions compared to what Reserv offers. Swiggy GV can be redeemed for 25 paise per reward point but Amazon/Flipkart GVs will give you 10 paise per reward point.
Redemption | Value |
---|---|
Flights and Hotels | 25 paise/RP |
Gift Vouchers | 10 paise to 25 paise/RP |
Air Miles (Club Vistara/InterMiles) | 10 RP = 1 Mile |
Rewards Catalog | Varies |

Final Thoughts
The Yes Bank Marquee credit card is undoubtedly one of the most exciting offerings in the premium segment today. Even though it does not offer the reward multipliers that HDFC Bank SmartBuy does, it is still a solid option. Since the joining benefits outweigh the joining fee, Marquee is effectively free for the first year.
From the second year, the renewal benefit takes care of the annual fee if it is charged. You can save Rs 1600 a month just by using the BookMyShow offer twice a month. We also get unlimited access to international airport lounges along with a low 1% forex markup for travellers. If you don’t have any premium/super-premium credit card, get the Yes Bank Marquee credit card.

Whats is the reward conversion rate for Amazon/Flipkart gift vouchers?
Is it 1 point = 0.25 INR ??
No, 25 paise is only for some vouchers like Swiggy. Amazon/Flipkart GVs are still at 1 RP = 10 paise.
This would be a good addition the list of credit cards for forex spends. Its lowest base reward is 1.25% with fx of 1.17%. So returns could potentially be significantly higher depending on spends.
Yes, will add it soon 🙂
They also allow points transfer to accor ? whats the conversion rate there?
Accor is not one of the transfer partners.
