All good things come to an end. But the year 2022 seems to be the chosen year for all kinds of devaluations in the credit card space. The latest casualties are the RBL Zomato Edition Classic and Black credit cards. We will see a sharp devaluation in rewards for these two cards from 20th September 2022. Here is what changes.
Changes on the RBL Zomato Edition Classic Credit Card

Apart from this devaluation, other features stay the same:

- Annual Fee Waiver at Rs 4 Lakhs spend in a year
- 2000 Edition Cash on Rs 5 Lakhs spend every year
- Buy One Get One at BookMyShow once per month. Value capped at Rs 200.
- 2 complimentary airport lounge visits every quarter in India
- 2 complimentary international airport(outside India) lounge visits every calendar year with Priority Pass
- 1.5% forex markup
Final Thoughts
The devaluation was long expected for the 10% birthday benefit on the Edition cards. But the devaluation seems to be far harsher. With these changes, I do not see any value in holding either of the two cards.
