When it comes to cashback credit cards, some of the popular options are SBI Cashback, Flipkart Axis, Axis Ace and AU Xcite Ace. But, we have some other good options as well like the Airtel Axis Bank credit card and the HSBC Cashback credit card. HSBC Cashback credit card offers 1.5% cashback on retail spends. But the USP is the 10% cashback on select categories like dining, food delivery and grocery spends. All three are essential spends and this is where the HSBC Cashback credit card is useful.
Eligibility

HSBC does not provide the Cashback credit card to self-employed individuals. There are some rare exceptions if there is an existing saving account with a high balance but we have not seen this working for some time now. You would need a very high NRV for this to work.

Between HSBC Cashback and Axis Ace, which one should I choose? I already have SBI Cashback.
HSBC Cashback just for its 10% cashback in grocery and food delivery categories
It would be nice to have a list of vendors which are eligible under the 10% cashback category, it would help a lot.
While it is not possible to have a complete list, we have updated the ones which work based on our experiences.
thank you
Is the cash back arranged as credit to the statement account?
Is there any qualifications limits for Cashback (spends outside the range 1000-4000) do not qualify
Groceries- Do Dmart, Bigbazaar, bigbasket qualify? if anyone has first hand experience
Yes, it is a statement credit. No restriction on amount of spend to qualify for cashback.
The cashback is MCC based. Bigbasket qualifies, you would need to do a transaction on others to check for cashback.
Does Flipkart Grocery also eligible for 10 percent cashback?
It will depend on the MCC used by Flipkart but my guess is it will work.
Thanks for this review with updated Cashback card.
